SMA's New Innovation Lab is NOW OPEN

So far, students in our Genesis Innovator's Program have created rapid prototypes for a "build a better trashcan" challenge which addresses the issue of waste. Sophomores in World History built replicas of inventions from the Industrial Revolution. Intro to Engineering students were trained on the drill press. AP Art & Design students have pushed synthesis of materials through use of the Cricut, Glowforge, 3D printers, and vacuum former. Most recently, all of the Gold Ties have been planning their Senior capstone projects.  We would like to thank Paula Child, Green Tie '69, and her husband, Mark Hammerschmitt, for the initial gift to fund the project which has inspired others to donate as well. We look forward to seeing how the lab will benefit current and future Belles!
